Our club offers approximately 6 miles of pristine water on the West Branch of the Lackawaxen River. The river holds naturally reproducing Brown, Brook and Rainbow trout. Additionally, we stock our water during the year when water level, temperature, and trout population are favorable. Given the significant holdover rate, natural wild trout population, and the catch and release nature of the club, stocking is designed to all maintain the numbers of fish such that every angler enjoys a positive experience while fishing at the club. You will be delighted to know many members catch fish in the 20 plus inch range; as we have a fantastic hold over rate from year to year.
The club also boasts 80 plus acres of club owned land that can be used by the membership.
Financial obligations are as follows. We charge a onetime initiation fee of $300. A one time Land Share fee of $1,000 dollars. Dues currently stand at $850 dollars a year.
For now…….Simply put, it boils down to $2,150 to join the first year and then $850 to renew each year. Dues are paid each spring in full or by installment as the Treasurer may direct. Acceptable payments are Check or Credit Card
The Creamton Fly Fishing Club is the best bargain anywhere for the amount of private fishable water in relation to dues per year. You will not find a club anyplace that has 6 miles of private trout water for $850 dollars a year. I challenge you to check out other private clubs in the area and compare. You will see there is no comparison.
These fees are used to pay for several trout stockings a year, the leases on 6 miles of trout stream and taxes on 80 plus acres of club owed land. Two hundred dollars of the Land Share fee will be reimbursed when a member decides to leave the club.
The $1,000 dollars gives you a 1 share ownership of the club. This can not be passed on to next of kin.
After all financial obligations are met, Provisional Membership will be granted. Provisional Membership includes all rights of full membership except the right to vote at club meetings. As a provisional member, you should (but are not required to) attend some functions such as the work day, trout stocking, Opening Day Social, the Farmers Picnic or meetings for members to get to know you.
Once you have completed your first year as a provisional member, a vote will be held by the membership at the January Annual Meeting to consider you for Full Membership. If voted in, you will be a member with full voting rights.
All Members are allowed to bring guests. The guest fee is $20 per visit and it is billed to the member at the end of each year. Each guest may fish no more than 3 times in a calendar year.
Wives/ husbands, children under 21 and grandchildren under 21 are not considered as guests and can fish an unlimited amount of times while accompanied by the member at no charge.
At the end of each time you fish on the club waters, members are required to log in to the members website to log their catch for the day and any guests or family members that accompanied to include their stats for the day. This system is used for historical data such as billing, leases, and stocking strategies.
We have a USGS gauge on our water that gives great information and allows you to check on water levels and conditions whenever you want.

All members have access to a "Private Chat Group" as well to share, ask question and keep up to date on the happenings at the club.
If you would like a tour of the water, or fish the stream, I can arrange that for you.
